October 20, 2011 Siskiyou – Fiery Kind
Well it’s definitely fall again and I’ve been getting into the spirit of the season by breaking out some of my fall folk music and other autumnal tracks. One great “fall artist” I’ve come across this week is Canadian band Siskiyou who recently released their second album Keep Away the Dead. It’s a great fall album and features tracks that often sound to me like early Modest Mouse if they decided to make folk music (see “Twigs and Stones”). The songs range from uplifting and loud to quiet late-night folk (“Sing Me to Sleep”) and overall the album is beautiful. Listen to “Fiery Kind” below and be sure to check out the rest of the album.
