May 9, 2011 Joker – The Vision
I’ve only been put onto this artist recently, but this guy knows how to make a track bump. This artist from Bristol, England calls himself Joker and creates some of the chillest, yet pretty dirty, dubstep, that I’ve heard. After reading some high-snobbery on the genres of dubstep, grime and post-dub via Pitchfork, I’m not sure what to classify this type of music as anymore, but I like it. To me, it sounds like a chill mix of hiphop beats with some nice dub womps, but anyways, I recommend. Below is Joker’s new single, The Vision, coming out on May 16 and another gem named Tron. – D.
